Look up public records
For example, car park vacancies reported by operators, kindergarten vacancy status and money lender licence lists. Records reflect the data time shown; they are not a guarantee of conditions on site or of an approval.
About Agoodeal
Hong Kong public data, turned into answers you can use every day.
Agoodeal is a Hong Kong public data and practical tools website. We compile first-party data from government departments and public bodies to help you look things up, compare and calculate. See the result first, then the reasons, and finally check the sources and limitations.
What you can do with Agoodeal
For example, car park vacancies reported by operators, kindergarten vacancy status and money lender licence lists. Records reflect the data time shown; they are not a guarantee of conditions on site or of an approval.
Tools such as public rental housing income and asset limits, salaries tax and fixed deposit interest calculate with stated assumptions; cases they do not cover are explained on the page.
The inflation and bank deposit pages present data, calculated values and observations separately, and do not treat changes that happen together as proven cause and effect.
Data principles
We use data from the Census and Statistics Department, the Hong Kong Monetary Authority, the Transport Department, the Hong Kong Housing Authority, the Education Bureau, the Hospital Authority, the Social Welfare Department, the Hong Kong Observatory, the Environmental Protection Department and other relevant official sources first. Each page links to the sources it uses; a public dataset may not cover every location or case.
The official data period or edition date, the source update time and the time Agoodeal read the data mean different things. Live tools show the report times that are available; lists and reports published periodically show their data period. Calculators without live official data separately show the date Agoodeal checked the official rules or references by hand.
“Not available” is not zero, and it does not mean there is no service. When a source fails, the data are old or only part of the content was read, the page should say so clearly; anything that cannot be calculated is never filled with invented numbers.
Data explained
Unit conversions, ratios, dates and calculation formulas are explained on the relevant pages. Values we compile or calculate are never passed off as official figures. For example, after car park half-hourly charges are converted to an hourly rate, you still need to check the days and times they apply; how records at the same address are merged is also explained.
Personal and financial inputs to the calculators are processed in your browser. The car park location feature works only with your permission; the coordinates are used to calculate distance on your device and are not uploaded to Agoodeal. The site uses traffic analytics to understand how pages are used, which is separate from how calculation inputs are handled. If a browser AI assistant uses our tools through WebMCP, each use sends only usage data such as the tool name, success or error and duration to the same analytics service. Amounts, dates, income, search terms, locations and results provided by you or the AI assistant are not uploaded to Agoodeal’s servers or that analytics service and are not stored; results go back only to the AI assistant that called the tool.
Data use
Agoodeal is an independent website, not an official government website. Information and tool results are for general reference only. They are not a recommendation to take any action, should not be treated as the basis for an individual decision, and are not medical, financial, tax or legal advice. A “read time” on a page does not mean the current situation has been confirmed with the service provider. For limitation of liability and the terms of the source data, see the full statement.
FAQ
No. This website compiles and explains public data and provides estimates. Formal applications, fees, eligibility and service arrangements are as published and confirmed by the relevant government department or service provider. See Data use and disclaimer.
The tools provide general information and estimates based on stated assumptions, not personal advice. Medical pages do not diagnose or rank the quality of care. In an emergency, call 999 immediately; do not let waiting time figures delay seeking treatment.
First look at the sources, data period, method and limitations at the end of the relevant page, and open the original data to compare. For eligibility, licences, school places or appointments, use the contact details on the official page to check with the responsible authority.
Weather and vacancy data are published differently from monthly statistics or school-year lists. Agoodeal follows the read method stated on each page and does not call all data “live”.
AI tools and official data
In browsers that support the experimental WebMCP, all 19 practical tools register a tool in the tab you have open: calculators use the page’s own calculation; the car park search only filters the official records already loaded; the other data tools give official data sources and usage limits, and never read live data or present themselves as the latest figures. This is not a remote MCP server; browsers without support use the web pages as normal.

Publisher and data responsibility
This page explains the site’s data principles; each tool and data story lists its own sources, editions, methods and important limitations at the end of the page. When you use or quote a figure, record the data period shown on the page as well.
