Sources and timing
Where the data come from, and which moment a figure shows
We use first-party public data published by government departments and public bodies first, and list the source, data period, update method, method and limitations in the “Sources and notes” section at the end of each page.
Pages separate two kinds of figures: data as originally published or reported by the source, and values that Agoodeal has compiled, converted, grouped or calculated. The latter are our own processing and are not official figures.
The official data period or update time, the time Agoodeal read the data and the time a page calculated a result mean different things. Official publication schedules, networks and caches can all make a page slightly later than its source.
“Not available” is not zero and does not mean there is no service. A public dataset may not cover every location, organisation or case; when a source cannot be read, the data are old or only part of the content was read, the page says so.
