Full toll arrangements
Private-car tolls range from HK$20 to HK$60 and motorcycle tolls from HK$8 to HK$24. The Western Harbour Crossing costs more than the other two crossings during peak time slots. The toll depends on the tunnel and the time the vehicle passes the toll point.
From 00:00–10:10 and 19:19–23:59, private cars pay HK$20 and motorcycles HK$8. From 10:15–19:14, the tolls are HK$25 and HK$10 respectively. Transition time slots are 10:11–10:14 and 19:15–19:18.
Taxis pay a fixed HK$25 all day. Passengers not hiring from a cross-harbour taxi stand pay both outbound and return tolls, HK$50 in total. Other vehicles, including goods vehicles, light buses and buses, pay a fixed HK$50. Motorcycles include motor tricycles and pay 40% of the private-car toll. Private-car and motorcycle tolls change in steps every two minutes during transition time slots. The applicable toll is determined when the vehicle passes the HKeToll toll point.

Data explained
This tool groups journey times to the same tunnel from different monitoring locations. Check the starting points and coverage before comparing the figures.
For example, “8–16 minutes” is the range of times from different monitoring locations to one tunnel; it is not a forecast range for one journey. Where a Transport Department display shows congestion or tunnel closure, the page shows that status instead of treating it as a number of minutes.
The results exclude the journey to the monitoring location and the journey after leaving the tunnel. Incidents, closures and temporary diversions may affect actual times. Check navigation and current traffic arrangements before travelling.
Journey times come from the Transport Department’s Journey time indicators (2nd Generation). Tolls are calculated from its time-varying toll schedule. Journey times start at the specified indicators and do not cover an entire door-to-door journey.
