Choosing an EV charging station
Connector, power and your car’s limit must all match
This list covers only GB/T charging facilities. First confirm that your car supports the GB/T connector, and whether it uses alternating current (AC) or direct current (DC) charging; if the connector does not fit, it does not matter how many chargers a location has.
Medium, quick and fast are the EPD’s bands by a charger’s rated output power, not the speed your car can actually reach. Actual power is limited by the lower of the charger’s and the car’s limits, and also depends on battery level, temperature and load sharing at the time.
Before you go, check the operator, opening hours, parking charges, payment methods and the standard your car supports.

Key points about the data
Does this page show whether a charger is free?
No. The EPD list only gives locations and the number of chargers, with no live status; an unknown status does not mean a charger is free, nor that the car park has a space.
Does it cover the whole of Hong Kong?
No. This page shows the EPD’s “List of Public Electric Vehicle GB/T Charging Facilities”, which only includes GB/T facilities. The EPD separately states that, as at the end of June 2026, Hong Kong had around 17,364 major public chargers, most of which are not on this list.
Why is the charging speed lower than stated?
The car, battery condition, temperature, load sharing and charging curve all limit the power.
Can I rely on this data for emergency charging?
Relying on a single data source is not recommended; check again through the operator’s channels before you set off.

The English name reference is dated 20 October 2026. This does not change the charger counts or retrieval date of the reviewed Chinese edition.
