Islands District: record coverage
Islands District covers Lantau Island and many other islands, including Cheung Chau, Lamma Island and Peng Chau. This page includes Islands District records by the source's "district" field; it is not a list of car parks near a station, shopping centre or town centre. The groups below are a rough grouping by address text compiled by Agoodeal and reflect only the records when you opened this page.
A missing hourly rate or height only means the source did not provide it; it does not mean the car park is free or has no limit. Each result card also shows the operator's report time.
Data explained
Vacancy figures are reported by car park operators through the Government's open data platform. They show the situation at the moment the operator reported and are not a reserved space; vacancies keep changing between when you look and when you arrive.
"No data" and "Full" mean different things: the first means the operator has not provided data or updates have paused; only the second means the latest report says full. Some car parks report only that spaces are available, without an exact number; "Closed" and "Marked closed by source" are car park statuses given by the source.
Each result card shows the operator's report date and time in Hong Kong time. A report more than 15 minutes old is marked "Older"; more than 60 minutes old is marked "Outdated", shown for reference only and not counted under "Only show car parks with spaces".
What to compare when choosing a car park
The tool converts the hourly rules listed by the source into an hourly price for comparison (half-hourly charges are doubled) and lists the days and times they apply. Lower rates for the first few hours are shown separately; daily and overnight parking, shopping-centre spending offers and overtime charges follow the terms at the car park.
Check first if you drive a seven-seater, use a roof rack or have a taller vehicle. A missing height does not mean there is no height limit.
"Charging facilities" only means the data lists chargers. It does not mean a charging space is free right now, or that it suits every plug type or power level.

The official dataset covers only operators that take part and provide the relevant fields. The tool shows how many car parks in the API currently have private car data; it does not claim to cover every car park in Hong Kong.
Not necessarily. It is the lowest of the hourly rules in the official data after conversion to an hourly basis, and applies only to the days and times listed on the card. Weekday, holiday, member or merchant offers and charges for the first few hours may differ.
No. Agoodeal is a search and comparison tool and does not handle bookings or payment. Use the map to get there, and go by what the car park entrance displays.
It is not uploaded to Agoodeal. After your browser gets your coordinates, they are used only on your device to calculate the straight-line distance to car parks.
Islands District includes Lantau Island and many other islands. Confirm which island or place a car park is on before comparing vacancies.

The official dataset covers only operators that take part and provide the relevant fields, not every car park in Hong Kong. District pages list only the records that belong to that official district. Network delays, vehicles entering at the gate and individual equipment faults can all make the figures on site different. The opening status (OPEN/CLOSED) is copied from the source and may differ from the situation on site.
The location feature only calculates distances in your browser; Agoodeal does not store or upload your coordinates.
Car park names, addresses and sub-districts are the official English text from the same DATA.GOV.HK API, matched to each car park by its official ID. If the English data had no record for a car park, its Chinese name is shown as published.
Vacancy times can differ between car parks. "Spaces available" means the operator reported spaces without giving a number; "No data" does not mean zero spaces, and "Closed" is a status marked by the source. Hourly rates are converted to an hourly basis (half-hourly charges doubled) and show the lowest rate the source lists; check the days and times it applies to.

In the Hong Kong-wide data, the same car park sometimes has one record in each of two data sources. 10 pairs, checked by hand against name, address, coordinates and vacancy, have been merged into one card, with vacancy taken from the newer report; all other records are kept as they are. District pages list the merged records.
